### Online Assignments

Online homework is accessed via the Camosun WeBWorK server.

I will be sending an email to the email address we have on file for you during the first week of classes with the URL for this term plus your login information. If you have not received this email in the first week, it is likely that the email address on file is incorrect or outdated, so please send me an email from your current account so that we can get you logged in ASAP!

Alternatively, you can log on using your Camosun student number as your ID (with the leading C and then seven digits), and use that same number for your password.

### Practice Exercises

These exercises are not to be handed in for marking. Instead, you are encouraged to work on these selected exercises as part of your studying for the course.

Recommended Problems from the Course Materials – updated to include Chapters 7 and 8

- Chapter 1, Question 1.5 b): the age looks like it is being rounded to the nearest year, so I would call that quantitative, discrete, myself.
- Chapter 2 Supplement, Question 4.135: the answer is missing from the solutions, so here's what I got:
- a) 27/70
- b) 0
- c) 4/70
- d) 27/31
- e) 4/31

- Section 4.1: here's the Answer to Question 4
- Section 6.1: edited to remove Question 23 and add Question 25, since the answer to Question 23 is 25 students, which is not enough to be able to use the normal table without knowing that the population is normally distributed!
